Acclaimed by several restaurant food critics in major newspapers in the Bay Area for his marvelous Brazilian Cuisine, Chef Silvio Barbosa Jr. has taken his talents to new heights. He decided to invest in the pizza business. In 1999, he opened his first pizzeria in Richmond and after 7 successful years he has brought his expertise to downtown Oakland opening his second location.

Owned and operated by Chef Silvio Barbosa Jr. and his wife Rosana Brito, this newcomer is a welcome addition to bustling downtown Oakland. “We are so happy you are in the area! It is like having a restaurant deliver gourmet food!!!” said one of our customers, Barbosa says.

The restaurant offers Italian entrees ranging from nicely textured pastas to tasty poultry, veal and seafood, to standards like the grilled New York steak. It is all prepared from scratch and with the special flavors of Chef Barbosa’s cuisine. You can also dine on a variety of fresh salads, sandwiches and appetizers. The pizza is unique! Hand-spun dough – Chef Barbosa’s own recipe – is delicious and baked to perfection with the freshest ingredients! Best of all, this food is available for delivery right to your door.

Barbosa’s culinary training and experience span all the way from Brazil to several restaurants in the Bay Area. He has also participated in several food shows; among them, invited by Narsai David, to demonstrate how to prepare “Feijoada” the Brazilian National Dish, in the Cellar@ Macy’s Union Square.

San Francisco Pizzaria and Restaurant is open daily from 10:00am to midnight, on Fridays and Saturdays till 1:00am. Dining-room till 10:00pm. Dine-in, carry-out and free delivery available. For your convenience the restaurant is equipped with a computerized order taking system. All major credit cards accepted. You may also fax ahead for large orders or lunch-time deliveries.
